I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I have been into reptiles for 20 years. I have raised and bred many species of snakes and lizards but I am just getting into tortoises. I have a ten inch male sulcata and a three inch tsf het for ivory sulcata that I am raising on my five acres. I am hoping to acquire several more species in the future.
Thanks for looking

Thanks for the welcome it looks like tortoise people are way more friendly than snake people. Here are a few pictures I took today of my torts in their outside enclosure.I also enjoy meeting people with the same passion for reptiles we do a lot of field herping around here and I have a few local friends that have tortoises as well

I've heard many people say the same thing, regarding to snake people vs tortoise folks.

Hi Matt, and welcome to the Forum! Beautiful little baby you've got there. We have new cutting edge info on how to raise smooth baby tortoises. Clear your mind of all you knew before, and read the pinned threads at the top of the Sulcata section with an open mind.

I've met a lot of people in the snake industry that are awesome people but I've met more people into tortoises that are amazing and more down to earth than some of the better than you people in snakes. I own snakes lizards and tortoises and wouldn't have it any other way

Thanks for the info I will definitely be changing my husbandry a bit and hopefully it will prevent my male from getting any worse pyramiding and keep my little one with a nice smooth shell

Hello and welcome. This forum is a pretty unique community. I've never seen anything quite like it.

I've kept all sorts of snakes and lizards too, so I'd love to hear more about your other stuff too. We have an "Other Pets" section with sub-forums for snakes and lizards. Feel free to share. A lot of us keep multiple reptiles.
