Just joined tonight. I have a tortoise named Testudo. I am a University of Maryland fan and have always loved turtles and tortoises. My sons gave me a tortoise for Father's Day so it's been about 5 months. Here are some pics.

There will be a good caresheet for your tort under Species Specific which will tell you all about temps, humidity, diet, substrate etc.
I also found the Beginners Mistakes thread useful and the Enclosures thread is great for ideas.
So read, search and ask as many questions as you like someone will soon get back to you with any help you need.
