image.jpg My poor little Jenga did not make it. It is absolutely heartbreaking that he was so far gone by the time I got him. I only had him for a week, but he certainly made his way into my heart. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice so that he had his best chance!

I am sorry for your loss, take comfort in knowing that he was loved and spoiled in his final days.

So sorry to hear it. He was such a cute little guy. Makes me want to strangle the people who had him!

Sorry
I sincerely hope this does not end your efforts in keeping a tortoise. Rescues are hard and heartbreaking at times. They don't all make it. But when one does it can be gratifying.
Many here have had one die for a great variety of reasons.

You obviously care deeply and gave it your best shot. That's all anyone can do.

Good fortune to you

Thanks everyone for your condolences. It makes me very sad that he suffered so much, but he was greatly loves when I had him. I still have my little yearling Bumble. He's doing really well and he has a new improved larger enclosure now. I'm able to keep the heat and humidity up much better with my new plastic greenhouse tent around the enclosure. He's very active and seems happy. I'll take comfort in that. ☺️
