What would the plural of a tortoise be?
For example, a Redfoot:
Redfeet
Redfooteds, my thought.
Redfoots
This word, or a lack of a word cause me to pause almost each time i post about my Redfootses. Or is it Redfeetses?
Mmm. I've pondered this one before.

My heard of redfoot tortoises.
My heard of red footed tortoises
My heard of redfoots.

"Would one mind if one was to wash ones redfoots." Said the Queen.

Good question Ed.

I think to be completely correct, you'd include the tortoise part and it'd be red-footed tortoises. But colloquially, I think it's redfoots.
You sir or madam, are correct. The tortoise is what is plur not the red foot part

Ed, here's something "funny" in our English language.:D
Have you ever wondered why the letters “ough” can be pronounced in so many different ways (/oʊ/ as in “though”, /uː/ as in “through”, /ʌf/ as in “rough”, /ɒf/ as in “cough”, /ɔː/ as in “thought”, /aʊ/ as in “bough”, /ə/ as in “thorough”? ;)

I was born In San Francisco, and I always say I speak American...Meaning no disrespect to the actual English people.
There's American English and then there is the Queens English.
And whatever that is that they speak up in New England.:)
