Hi everyone,

My Hermann tortoise is 2 years old and I can hear his breathing. It doesn't sound raspy, just heavy. Not fluid like either, he has a dry nose. He is eating, pooping as normal. Is this normal?
Is there anything I should look for as far as upper respiratory infections, etc?

Thanks, and here is a pic of Ormond! :)037.JPG

I wouldn't worry, just keep a close eye on him for a few days. I have noticed my leopards will sometimes breath louder if they are not happy with what I might be doing to them or close to them. Listen to yours when he can't see you and doesn't know your there and see if he's still breathing loud

okay thanks. I think he's been stressed out because we moved him into our living room. He's used to the peace and quiet of the guest room. I've moved him back so it will be quieter for him. Thank you:)
