This is a new resident in my purple trumpet tree.
He's been here for over a month.
He's much larger, fatter than a Curly Tail lizard or those referred to as Aligator lizards.
He's about 8-9" with a very thick and scaly tail.
I've never seen anything like him before.
Like a mutant run of the mill lizard that for some reason grew four times larger.....
He also has no fear of the camera.

I'm not sure what he is but he sure is beautiful! So jealous of those who get to see lizards in their yards. In my cold climate we pretty much only see amphibians.

We are over run with curlytails. This one is unusually large and with a more rigid tail.
Also, our "run of the mill" curly tails don't often hang out in trees. This guy is always in my tree.
But I suppose he could just be special. Maybe he is a funky hybrid. Nothing like a basilisc, but the size of one.

I saw this Cuban Anole at the store today in a tree.
Not an unusual lizard, but he posed for a photo..

Nice, we love going to Florida and getting to see all the Lizards. Going to Miami and then to the Glades and down to the Keys in a few weeks.

You won't be disappointed.
We've had a couple of warm winters in a row and the exotics are everywhere!
