Star tortoise has changed habits

I need help too.. my tortoise ( indian star tortoise ) is in room temp since 5 yrs. No UV no Ultra Light no Solar. N its perfect since 5 yrs. But suddenly she has started behaving different.. she is jus walking whole day... n i hav an area in which u can see wats bellow ur building from window. So she keeps looking down .. i dont understand what is she searching? Continous day n night as well i see her walking.. she eats well and she is perfect.. she walks whole house.... !! As if in search of somthing... she is single since 5 yrs now.. what must be the solution for this? Any suggestions? Please help. Thanks!

I need help... my tortoise is behaving weird .. i have indian star tortoise. Female with me since 5 yrs. She is single and always happy.. suddenly since 20days i can notice she is searching somthing or i dunno wats happening... i can see her roaming entire house.. she doesnt like to stay in her setup since 5 yrs .. she likes to stay free so i have not kept her in enclosure.. everything was perfect since 5 yrs. Now suddenly i see her roaming day n night in whole house... she keeps walking whole day!!! N i have a place in my house...from which it is glass window and if u see down u can see wats bellow building.. i stay on 4th floor. So recently my tortoise has started going till that end and peeps down from glass as if someone is waiting down for her? ... wats happening i am confused ... please help me... thanks .. jeh!

She might be looking for a place to lay her eggs.

Your tortoise, if she is female, is probably looking for somewhere to lay eggs. She needs to be somewhere with earth or compost on the floor so she can dig and lay. Without this, she could well become egg bound.

Is this an Indian Star? Have you read this about their care?

Does your tortoise have any access to a UV source ?
Remember UV light does not pass through glass or plastic.

She is on ground ( floor )always... but wats does egg bound mean? What should i do to calm her? I feel she is jus running here n there in search of male.... where should i get male from ?

It may be that now she's full grown she's looking for a way to escape to find a more suitable living space. Your tortoise needs a habitat. Tortoises are NOT domesticated animals. They don't do well running around the house on the floor. They need a substrate they can dig into, a light they can sit under to warm up and a nice hiding place or two where they can escape any unforeseen predators.

Egg bound means that she needs a place to lay her eggs. When she can find no place and keep the eggs inside she will get sick because the eggs stuck inside of her.

Where does she eat, sleep and hide? Be a real tortoise I mean.

You have to make sure she will get a place to lay her eggs, they will be infertile. But she has to lay them in a place she would lay them if she where in the wild.

I am sorry but I feel sad for your Star...
