Hi, question time again [emoji16]

At what age do I need to seperate my hatchlings? At the moment they are all happy co-habitating in the same tank, however in the past I have kept a pair of juvenile stars together and had to seperate as one was being bullied [emoji22]. From the experience of having that previously (one has nearly doubled in size since and the other seems to be a really slow grower, which I worry is due to the previous bullying) I don't want the same to happen with my yellow babies.

Any advice?

The reason you experienced aggression with your stars is because you only had 2. That said I don't know if stars are naturally aggressive.

Torts shouldn't be kept in pairs, one will almost Always dominate. So 1 or a group is best.
There's no reason yours can't live together for yrs providing you have an enclosure big enough. You just need to watch for dominance, anyone can end up with a bully. Plenty of space, hides and a couple of feeding areas will help. If your tort wants to be alone it needs to be able to go off on its own.
For now as babies you should be ok as long as you increase enclosure size as they grow As they reach sexual maturity you may see some changes. I believe male yellowfoots can be very territorial and solitary animals.
You'll be lucky to get a Year out of that enclosure with 4.
Are you keeping these babies?

To be honest the viv they are currently in is for nursing, once I am totally happy and they get a bit bigger say 2/3 months time I will get them something more suitable/ long term, I have found it easier to regulate heat/ humidity in what they are in at the moment. I have another batch of eggs due around that time so will hope to move any hatchlings (fingers crossed) into there. They usually come out for an hour or so to burn off some energy in a 4x4 penned off area. Which is something I have had to do with their parents, as they will otherwise spend all day trying to scale the walls of their enclosure!

At the moment there doesn't seem to be any dominance issues, All are growing evenly and no signs of nipping, they all have their favourite areas of the tank and I often will only find two together at best.

One will be going to a relative and I am not sure about the other 3 at the moment, I certainly won't begin thinking about rehoming them until at least the 6month mark providing all continues to go well.
