Looks neat. Is it an animal plastic? What are the dimensions?

Its Animal Plastics and the dimensions are 4X2X1 I know it’s still small but my baby is a hatchling. I fully intend to make Torterra a bigger one later on.

Looks good. Can you post a picture of the lighting, and describe what bulbs/emitters you're using?

100 watt basking bulb (day), 64 watt heat emitter (night), and a 100 watt heat emitter for day and night. I have a UVB strip bulb as well.

My enclosure has a spot on each side for heat lamps so I’m using two constantly. It keeps the temperatures in the 80s F and a basking spot between 95-110F

Thank you for the pics and descriptions. I was hoping for a single shot from below the tank, upward, showing the layout of all of the elements. I have a similarly sized home-made enclosure for my little one, and am always looking for new ideas. At the moment I only have a 60watt spot on one side, and a 100 watt heat emitter on a rheostat on the other. I don't have a uv lamp because he gets lots of outside time.

I had the same issue as you. Was warm and humid one night so I left my Hoppy in the ZooMed tortoise house. But then it rained and the temp dropped to 40. Brought him in with bubbles coming out of his nose and now he's in a well controlled closed chamber. Like you, I'm new to tortoises too. All the other info says to keep them in open air tubs but totally agree that temps and humidity are way more stable in a closed chamber.

It’s scary that they advertise those zoo med tort houses as good for babies. I might use it for some out door time in the summer while I’m building a big enclosure, but I’m definitely sticking with the closed chamber for the main enclosure.

So cute!! Mine is a mutt too lol he’s Australian cattle dog/blue Heeler mixed. He’s a rescue and we got him when he was 8 weeks old and found out shortly after that he is deaf.

Lol Australian cattle dog and blue Heeler are pretty much the same thing though. His brothers and sisters didn’t look like blue heelers at all so they might have been mistaken when they said the type of cattle dog. They kinda looked like Sheppard dogs

Just got plants from the pet store grown for enclosures. I checked the tortoise table before purchasing.

When you order the circle screens on AP cages do you place them/cut them out or do they come installed? What if you order 2-3?

They cut and installed them for me I just ordered it. They are very good at talking to you about it and are willing to make special requests so I’m sure they can do that. All I had to do was put the sides together and then seal it.
