Hey everyone!
I took all your advice and decided to build my leopard tortoise Jet a heated night box.
I went with a design very similar to @TeamGomberg ’s and @Tom ’s with the oil filled radiator.
Some pictures of the process:

They make mini oil-filled radiant heaters to be used in relatively small spaces. I get mine from Walmart: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/optimu...ffcode=pg268402&ksdevice=c&lsft=ref:212,loc:2

Crank the thermostat on the unit most of the way up, and control the temperature with your own thermostat:

Nothing will work well if you don't build the box correctly, insulate and seal it well. What species are you housing and what size?

Those are awesome box houses! Just being able to read everybody's comments and suggestions piques my interest. Although I'm no carpentry expert, I at least now have ideas on what I want to do in the future when I move to Florida. Thanks for sharing Tom! I wish I can save this as a FAVORITE to view in a few years.
