A very pretty one? I don't know my chameleons....sorry no help...

Yeah, I know that much :) my vet contacted me and said this one needs a home. But I need to find out what kind it is and research it a little bit before I commit.

OK, I will look up veiled chameleons :) I didn’t find any Panther chameleons look like her. I know she is female, has laid a bunch of eggs.

My veileds that I have had in the past would get those dark markings when they weren't very happy lol.
Side note. If you do get her, make sure you post pics in this thread!

On a side note, I've raised a couple of veiled chameleons from babies to adulthood. One thing for me I found that helped when feeding is I would put my crickets in one of those plastic containers you get from the deli at your local supermarket and then position a branch above it as a perch for the chameleon to sit on. That seemed to really help to keep all the cricket's from hiding, and also help avoid any of the substrate that you use from getting stuck on his tongue and ingested. That's a very beautiful one you have.

It is a veiled, I have had a few. Let us know if you take it in. If you choose to get a chameleon I recommend the panthers. However, I would turn down giving a veiled a home.

You ever look at a pic when your half asleep and then the next morning look at it again and it looks nothing like what you thought it did... Yeah

I would have either one. I had veils before. However, if I was going to get another or a first one I would get a Panther. Every thing I have read and seen about the Panthers, they are nicer and more easily trained to be nice.
I would never turn down to help one out though in giving one a home.
