Sorry for yet another question someone with even a moderate ability to use the internet should be able to find out, but alas, that is not me.

Will cat grass grow in Northern Illinois or is it going to be strictly an indoor kind of thing?

I kept the little pots I bought of them last october outside, they stayed alive and continued to grow till the snow hit.

I guess what I'm asking is, if I plant it outside, will it come back year after year like the regular lawn grass or even the ornamental grasses?

I believe it will come back. Most wheat or wheatgrass is periennal. Grow it like the farmers! You might want to over seed every year and or plant winter wheat before it gets too cold, or a winter rye grass. Treat it similar to a lawn I guess. There are many varieties so the common "red hard wheat" that is cat grass or wheatgrass for juicing. Might not grow aswell outside all year long. Might not be a cold hardy drought tollerent variety.

I’m a very new sulcata mom, but I’m trying this for mine. I got the wheat grass seeds on amazon.

I think this is might be a good idea in moderation. We do this for our cattle or horses sometimes Butt from my understanding this supercharges the protein content in the grain and is why we feed it..

From my understanding on this site super high protein content foods are not good for sulcatas unless fed in moderation.
