Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me tell the sex of my tort? I rescued him (or her) about 2 years ago. The person I got him from didn’t know his age or sex, but referred to him as a male. Thanks for any help and let me know if you need additional pics other than this one. I wasn’t sure if there were other views that would help.

I can’t see the tail at all but overall it’s looking more female to me. Additional pictures from various angles would help us say for sure

I’ll post some more pics tomorrow and see if I can get a better picture of the tail. Thanks!

I'm thinking it's going to be a slow bloomer. The V of the scutes look male as females are more rounded. The tail from what I think is all tail looks long like a male. The space though between scutes of the two shells, tail area seems bigger like a female and the plastron looks flat like a female.
If I had to guess now. I'd guess Male

I agree that at the moment it looks female. But it could just be a late bloomer. Time will tell.
