Hi, I have a reed diffuser in my room, but my Hermann's is in here to. I got one because my new room smells like dogs, but I'm not sure whether the fragrance fumes will damage her tiny lungs.
Thanks. :)

I don't know the answer I'm afraid but hopefully someone will be more helpful,
Personally I wouldn't have it in the same room just in case, and make sure you don't use any sprays (deodrants/perfumes/polish/hairspray etc) in the room.

It depends on the scent. Some are toxic, just like the plants they come from. Only theraputic grade essential oils from the non toxic plants are acceptable. I can see if I can find a list around here that I used to have. They have air sacs to increase surface area for breathing, so like birds they are more sensitive.

Everything I'm reading about their waxes and scents is that they use parraffin waxes and do not use essential oils in their reed diffusers. I would not use this product in the home personally. Think of it as our lungs are filters for the air. we are just taking the oxygen out for us and producing co2. air sacs hold the air longer in the body to be processed. If you can smell it in the room of the tortoise, there is a chance it can be absorbed into your tortoise.
Best to stick to natural.

I will remove it from the room then. Thanks for the advice.
