I am really new with tortoise,I bought 4 Redfoots in September 2015 and 4 Indian Stars in December 2016.

And now I face my greatest challenge so far as owner: I am about to leave for 10 days on holidays..

and truly speaking I have know to find a way for my little herds to be healthy when I return, I can always bring them to a friend but I do not want them to be in an unknown environment.

So far I was lucky to have a member of the family looking for them with care as I was away.. but this time we are all leaving together...
Gosh.. I have to find a solution

Is it possible your friend could come to your house to feed and water them?
I guess it will be the only solution that will be bring me peace in mind. I also have neighbor very reliable but he doesn't know yet if he will not be on holidays at the same time.

Maybe you could prepare the food into bags and keep them in the fridge? So your friend can just empty the bag into your enclosure.

This is the best way to do it. This keeps the care to a minimum. Have all heat/lights on timers/thermostats too. If a friend or neighbor can't do it look for a local business that walks dogs. Some of them will care for other animals too.
Also if you know of a reliable kid near by. Pay them to do it.
