When I bought them, they were suppposed to be 18-20 week old "well started" hatchlings. I didnt weigh them for a week because my scale needed a battery. They started at 65 and 63 grams. A couple weeks later they were 63 and 62 grams, but I weighed them before and not after soaking. Today they are 66 and 64 grams, and still at 2.5" long.
Im going to be so upset if they linger for months and die. Ive spent so much time, money and effort on their well being.

I know what you mean! I have had the same fears.. So yours would be 5-6 months old and mine are 3-1/2 months.. the weights don’t seem too far off as long as yours start gaining regularly.. I read that it doesn’t have to be a lot, they all grow at different rates, just consistent.. I’ll be watching for you posts and hoping for the best! Let’s stay in touch!

Pickles & Crusher are both 16 wks old today and they both weigh 50g now. I first weighed them on June 23rd so in 5-1/2 wks Pickles has gained 13g and Crusher has gained 10. In just the last 7 days pickles gained 4 and Crusher 3 so I believe I am seeing an increase in their growth now.

Very interesting, mine was 44g last time I checked(3 days ago). It looks like pickles and crusher are both slow grower like mine but at least have a steady growth which is good. I don't know yet if mine is just stuck tho I will know it next time I weigh her in two days(5 months old). Anyway, they are looking good!

I don’t mind slow growth as long as its steady... or maybe healthy is the better word. I keep seeing post after post from those who loose their hatchlings.. it’s SO scary!!!

Yeah me too. If I had not seen this forum I would have tought she's doing just fine but when you see they're supposed to at least be twice this weight and that baby sully's are dying like flies it's kind of scary...

WOW! Pickles gained 8 grams this week!! And I weighed her after exercise & soak.. They both pooped. I knew by looking at her that she had gained a lot.. that’s CRAZY!!! Crusher gained 2 grams but now he’s dwarfed by pickles

Me too. I keep getting sad and my hubby asks me what is wrong and I say, “We lost another one.”

Just wait until they are yearlings. Mine went from 1458g on Aug 8 to 1655 on Aug 25th. She didn’t poop in her soak tonight so it will drop a little tomorrow but holy moly she is growing.
