We had them inside with a UV light but they were barely moving around so we moved them onto the patio.i usually move their house into the sun and then when it rains pull them under the covered lanai. Once a day, I let them roam around in a blocked off area of the lanai to get some sunlight and exercise. They need supervision while outside on the pavers because they end up tipping over, is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Here are some pics of their digs. They hardly move around in their tortoise house so they definitely need time outside of it. We soak them daily but they just walk out of the dish after a few minutes.

Anything else we should be doing with them?

The outside patio area has no cover at all. They probably feel insecure, maybe that’s why they are constantly climbing and flipping.
Unless your house is 78/86f that indoor enclosure is no good. Because it’s an open enclosure your torts are at the peril of the your house ambient temp. If they are cold they will be dormant.

A very warm welcome to the forum.

Please read the "Beginners Mistakes" Thread.

Is the dish you are soaking your torts in, deep enough? Please post a pic of of it. Thanks.

Good luck.

We had a heated coil lamp over it and a heat mat underneath it.
You need an ambient temperature for redfoots. No concentrated heat spots.
I’m guessing your outside climate is good most of the yr. But if your cooling the house to suit humans then your tort won’t be getting warm enough.
What did the breeder advise when you got them. They have been cared for well.

Hi and welcome. You have some beautiful little guys. Please follow the care sheets regarding diet, enclosure, temperatures and humidity levels. Soaking these babies for at least half an hour each day is pretty much essential, so please insist that they remain in the soak pool by making it impossible for them to come out until you are ready to take them out. Don't let the water get cold, the level of water should be about where the top and bottom shells meet.
