I've seen many people use the kiddie pools to give their inside tortoise some time in the sun. I changed mine up a little to protect her from our dog and also give her some grass to start grazing. I move her to different spots of the yard each day to access different weeds. I provide food and water as well. I mostly put her half in the sun and half in the shade of our crape myrtle tree (not in this picture though). She really enjoys her outside time. I drilled holes around the sides and used tent spikes to hold it to the ground. It is very tight to the ground. I can't get my hand under it without pulling a couple out first. I replenish her water when needed. I've seen her drink from it and sit in it for a while. I always check to make sure she is using the shady areas because it is starting to get pretty hot during the day here in Louisiana. We already had the pool so i just bought mesh and tent spikes.

How clever I like that. If you were concerned about an escape artist, you might add a circle of bricks around the bottom so that you can just set it inside/on top.

I've never seen a pool used like that before.
I'm still a bit concerned about that little bulldozer pushing out through the bottom if he sees light coming through.

I drilled holes and used tent spikes pushed all around the pool. I couldn’t get my hand under it because it was so snug to the ground. I also had a time pulling them up each day.
