Tortoise making moaning sounds through out the day like he is crying but eating well. Please help.

Sorry for your loss, it's quite sad losing a pet.
Just a quick note that tortoises tend to not do well in pairs, even if male and female. It may be best to just keep one.
Also - if you have air condition in your home, or if it's below 80 degrees due to the cement buildings, he may have been too cold. Hope your 2nd one is doing ok!

Thanks all for your support and feelers. Sorey I have been away from here as I was grieving for time due to loss of FiFi but I am trying my best to ensure everything goes well with my 2nd tort CHIKI. STRAWB can you tell me where do you pick up your Torts diet from and what do you feed the. Will it be possible to send me on what sort of enclosure are they kept in. Appreciate your feedback. Regards
Hi harish. I currently have a storage room in my apartment which i converted to a turtle room housing 2 red-eared sliders and 2 indian star tortoises kept in separate enclosed enclosures with all the necessary UVB and temperature control they need. I usually observe and watch them on the small adjustments i do to their temperatures to see on which setting they will thrive the most.
I grow my own hibiscus, mulberry and opuntia cactus in my balcony with a little mix of wheat grass as the main diet for my indian stars. This is also a challenge and another aspect on how you can make sure that your tortoise gets the proper nutritionit needs.
I also alternate them with zoomed grassland diet which i get from petzone along shk zayed road near petzone.
Giving them constant proper temperature, humidity and hydration coupled with a proper staple diet takes a little bit of effort to getyour daily routine going. But once you see your tortoise thriving its all worth the effort.
Do you have any other tortoise other than fifi?
