Welcome Maria!! I would also like to see pics!
Sure Yvonne and Ellie Mae, will post photos ASAP, it’s been a rough week with Jack being under the weather ... Each one is resting on their enclosures, Lizzie’s permanent and Jack’s incubator (technically), after a hectic day of medicines (preventive), shots (Jack), soaks and MUCHO SOL we are all looking forward to a quiet night . Thanks for the support, life saving for Jack, as the Dr. told us, eventually both would have died.

In the future I want to post our story, how we came about buying two sulcatas, for people to see what pet shops do in order to make some money, this was a small store, we have Pets Mart and Pet Co, but I chose to buy local. I am still too mad to call them, but I will in a couple of weeks, they need to stop this practice of selling Sulcatas as if they were Beta fish

I’ve owned many pets, our pug Cobbi lasted 15 years, our beloved OE bulldog, Apollo, 10 yrs. died in his sleep in th aftemath of hurricane María, we have Maco a yellow/blue macaw that I nursed to health 22 years ago, Maui a french bulldog who will be 1 very soon, plus the many chickens, rabbits, rescues RIP, so being in this predicament with the Sulcatas almost dying has been the worst.

Thanks again, tortoiseforum.org, God bless!!!

Wow!! That sounds like a lot ! I got suckered into buying two Sulcatas before I got educated. Mine were started dry and very small for their age.. now, I’m glad I took them both and I have a third:) I will look for your post and wish you luck!

Thank you EllieMay!!! I wish I could buy a third one and keep them together, but our yard is not that big ... I already found Jack a new home, because Lizzie is my granddaughter’s and she is in love !!! My grandson is not caring much form the animals I have dropped a couple of tears since I learned they cannot be together, but then again, he is going to be very well taken care off, by an exotic animal lover, which happens to be my massage therapist, who I visit weekly, so I get to see him and bring him treats. Best of both worlds!!! As I say #makinglemonade

Jack’s homemade incubator!!! These boxes are amazing since you just have to open a small dent to hang the lamp. It stays put on one lid as you open the other. I need another bowl, the Margaritaville inspired is too big for this box. He loves his log so until I get to Walmart it stays. Dr. wants the soaks to be outside in the sun, two times a day for an hour, with a hide area until he regains his health.

When you do get to Walmart, get some of the clay saucers from the garden section. They are perfect for feeding, watering, and self soaking. I keep a big one in all of mines enclosures and they all self soak and do their business there. This, despite still getting soaked and bathed outside daily:)

I will, this box is going to be his home for the next two weeks, when we move him he’ll have his bath . I still have to read about the distribution of the elements within the space, I think I don’t have them right yet

Hello guys,

Can someone tell how to confirm if uv lamp is actually emitting uv b light. Since there are many products that have uvb written in specifications but could be a duplicate bulb.

There are many chinese products that do not actually work well.

Any idea guys.

Welcome hope Jack starts feeling better
Thank you, Ray—Opo, it’s been raining on the island, bad weather related to Isaac, so this weekend we did not have that much needed SOL, today is looking much better, he is alert only when he goes into his soak, the rest of the day he is just “sleeping”. Nevertheless I feel we’re on the way to recovery!!!
