Has anyone used it? Your suppose to be able to just take a picture of the plant, flowers, trees and more. The App instantly ID's it.
I'm going to try it. It's suppose to be free to down load.

Yeah, that won't work.
All I do have is a smart phone. No computer. Hub does but I barely use it.
The app has good ratings and plants, etc, from around the world. Going to try it tomorrow. It was already dark out when I downloaded it.

I’ve used it. Another member recommended it. It’s not always right but a useful tool.

Well, I did a few quick pics of plants I have that I know what they already are.
So far not real impressed. It got the thistle and tomato leaf correct, but the plumeria leaf and the gardenia leaf both a fail. A second try on the gardenia was correct.
I still have to learn all the ins and outs of the app. I know a lot has to do with a correct pic quality, etc. However, my pics were all very clear and centered with not a lot going on in them except mainly the leaf in question. I would want to do an unknown plant more then once and maybe even try looking it up under another source, specially if I was wanting to feed it to my torts.
I wouldn't be happy if I paid for the app.
Will give it another try when I have more time and have gotten all the ins and outs straight.

I have the app and it was right about a few things and very clearly wrong about some things.
Every vine i took a picture of it said was poison ivy for instance.
It is helpful because it suggests other plants that may be the one you took a picture of, but it works as expected i would say, the skepticism is well placed.
However i have discovered a better one that is more accurate called Garden Answers and although not flawless, it is noticeably better than Plant Snap. I even paid for Plant Snap!

I have Garden Answers and Picture This. I thought it was the one mentioned here but realized it wasn’t. Neither are correct all the time. I paid for a vine ID from garden answers but the expert they used wasn’t able to positively ID it.

I use it an it helps, but often I have to try different edits of the same image and resubmit. If it can't id right away, you can "send" it in for an identification. I tend to cross reference online when I get a chance. Today I'm happy with plantsnapp as I snapped a plant I found growing in the parking lot. Turned out to be Evening Primrose. Now I'm hoping it survives to give me seeds.. BTW, the app is $3.99. I don't 100% trust it's answers, but I'm satisfied with it.
