Dozer rarely ever goes in his hides. He always sleeps under his basking lamp. Even at night when it’s dark.

80 at night 85-95 day 105 basking area
What kind of hide do you have? I use a terra-cotta pot on side, I soak it and it absorbs water.

I do too. I burry half of the pot and on another side I have a half log hide. he goes in both
It's not normal for a baby tortoise to sleep out in the open. Have you checked the temperature inside the shelter?

Temps between 80-95. There are 5 hides all different temps. He went in one this morning
