I’ve had so many questions over the past couple of years and google searching hasn’t been very helpful in a few areas.

I have a 4 or 5 year old wild Florida box turtle that was prematurely hatched. Thankfully I have made leaps and bounds when it comes her finally looking like a box turtle should look, even with my turtle care ignorance.

When she was prematurely hatched her shell was very much deformed and looked very flat compared to what she should have looked like. Not only that one of her shoulders was either injured or not fully developed. Despite all of that and my poor understanding of reptiles, she is now very healthy and looks very much like what you expect a box turtle to look like.

I need to completely upgrade her enclosure and I’m excited to have everyone’s feed back when it comes to her proper care.

Thanks! I can’t wait to learn what other turtle and tortoise owners are doing!

You've done a wonderful job getting this turtle to look more normal. It's a beauty!
