Now I want to describe the daily routine of my sullys.
They wake up ca. 8:30 AM.
A quarter of an hour I switch on the lighting in their enclosure. Slowly, one after another, they leave their artificial cabin and walk to the place underneath the heating bulbs. There they stay for half an hour, stretching their legs and heads, bathing in the artificial sun.
One of them, I named him "Leo" , because I`m sure that he is a male, takes his sun bath in the terracotta flower coaster in the warm water. He soak himself every morning ....
The other two sullies, named "Matilda" and "Valentine" ( I hope that they are females ) are not so interested in the warm water. That`s because I take the flower sprayer and ... let it rain on them. A warm drizzle. But I think they don`t like it not at all.
When the three babies have the right "operating temperature" they start to walk around and .... eat ..... and eat ... and eat .... and walk ... and eat, and eat... and walk and eat. The whole day long !
Sometimes they are taking a break, sitting with closed eyes on the hottest place in their enclosure and .... digest ! After a while they started a new round eating and walking. It`s funny and amazing to watch the amount these little guys can eat !
At ca. 6 p.m. they begin to walk in and out their cabins. That`s the time they think about going to sleep. At 6:30 p,m. they are hidden in their cabin. Sleep and digest the whole night long.
Until the next morning I switch on the light.
I never thought, that 3 little tortoises can please me so much. To observe them is much more interesting than every TV-Film can ever be.

Hello sully friends.
I think it is time for a little update..... after 2 years !
I can`t believe it how much my torts have grown. On the new pics they are still looking small but please compare my hand and finger to the head of my biggest tort "Leo". He is a really huge tort.
And now: pictures of growing sullies.:) Have fun !

Beautiful torts Sabine! Couldn't quite figure out the post at first. You being advised to read threads on how to raise sullies. Lol
Those were old posts!
I wish I didn't see those old pics of the babies. I want to get more but with my situation I know not to. I think o_O
They have grown to be some beauties!

I love seeing pictures of young sulcatas living indoors with smooth shells. Good job!
Thank you Yvonne. They are growing so smooth because of all the good advices I`ve got from TFO. I often see sulcata tortoises on German craiglists that are pyramided or much to small for their age. I am feeling sad for these misunderstood tortoises that are kept dry and fed dry.:(
