Sulcatas rescued from the Camp Fire

Just wanted to share this story...
The Camp Fire in Northern CA is the deadliest fire in CA history. 170k acres burned in the last 9 days...52k people have been evacuated.
Most of these people worked 15 miles away from home in Chico CA. The town of Paradise was evacuated and those who were out of town could not get back up the hill to get their pets out.
A local tort rescue put out the call for help. Two 100lb sulcatas had been left alone for a week and night time temps are dropping. I have two friends who have access to the burn zone and I asked if they could help. Less than an hour later Momo and Jojo were loaded up and headed to the rescue. So proud of these guys who stepped up and helped these torts! ♥️♥️

That's great! My heart breaks for all the animals, pets and wild. They just don't understand what's happening or where to turn. Such heartache and sadness for all living things in CA.

I am so glad there are people out there that care. So many tort families in California, and such devastation. Thank you all for helping these megestic animals!
