Does anyone know why he’s doing this,he’s only a few months old.
Could he be constipated or could it just be he has an itch that has to be scratched.

I have brush heads attached to the inside of my enclosure.
Sometimes my RF will stop and rub their butts on it.
I’ll try that,he’s totally wrecked the sempervivum and I only put it in enclosure lol,
Judging by the way he’s gone to sleep he might have over scratched and needs to cool down lol

YouTube is full of turtles and tortoises wiggling their butts when they get scratched or sprinkled with water. And we've had discussions here before trying to decide if it was because the animal was actually enjoying it or if the wiggling was a sign of aggravation or something like that.
I still think that it's something enjoyable.
But the jury is still out.

I have seen this behavior in my turtles and tortoises, and I am convinced that they are feeling itchy and need their shell scratched. I see it more often in growing turtle/tortoises, especially when they are going through a growth spurt.

Yeah I’ve seen some of those videos, and always thought the torts looked happy,
And I’m guessing he’s enjoying it or he wouldn’t do lol

My Aldabrans used to back up to the pine tree in their yard and rub their carapace on the tree.
