I am so sorry you lost your adorable little one!
I'm glad you are planning on getting another one, but before you do I was wondering if you could post some pictures of your enclosure.
There are many experienced tortoise keepers here that would LOVE to help you be certain you are providing your future tortoise the safest, healthiest, most wonderful place to live. :)
So sorry again for your loss!!

I'm so sorry you lost the little one. From your picture, I'm going to guess that you were keeping the baby too dry. They should live in swamp-like conditions when they're that small. Because their little bodies are so tiny, the lights/heat dry their insides out very quickly.

This might be the wrong time of year to try to find another baby box turtle. Most of them are brumating now. Try again in the Spring.

Also yes there is a 5 gallon tank in there but its for plants/water cleaners(not chemicals)fish. There is a plexi bottom about 1inch down so i can adjust with size.
