You'll need to provide us with more information - what do you feed? what kind of lighting? things like that. Also can you show us the whole habitat? I don't like using the kind of substrate you're using, preferring something I can moisten, like orchid bark or cypress mulch.
I'm not familiar with Nutrobal supplementation, so can't really give advice on that, other than I think daily might be too often????
What is the calcium intake? Are you giving calcium-rich foods and is there a vitamin d source (UVB, sun??)
Hi Yvonne,
she has a basking light and uvb light for 12 hours per day.
currently in a vivarium for the winter as my room is cool.
I have been feeding her florette crispy salad as suggested by the breeder and supplementing with other foods suitable on the tortoise table website.
She is 3 months old and most suggestions have been to give supplements every day but i wondered if she was perhaps getting too much and im trying to give every other day.
Nutrobol is a all rouder with vitamins and minerals calcium and d3 though its 1 pinch per 200g sp can get tricky.
she weighs 39 nearly 40 grams which has increased steadly from the 32 g she weighed when we first got her.
Thank you for the suggestion about the bark, i will look into somthing else
Your little one is growing just fine.
I got three babies this year and they are growing very similar.
It's easy to get over worried, provide for all they need and you can sit back and watch your little crawling bonsai tree grow slowly.
