Hello, I am building another tortoise table at the moment and I am unsure what to use as the wood seal. Some seals may be toxic or unsuitable for torts, I would be thankful for any advice.

Hi! I seem to remember people mentioning Dry-lock and some kind of boat sealant. Sorry I can't find the thread that mentions the brand of boat sealant product.
I just used heavy plastic to line mine. Pond liners are a common way to go.

I used Flex Seal on my latest table build. I let it air out for a couple days before I added the substrate, etc. It works great and there is no smell.

I use it too, it seems to work great! I would just recommend using multiple thick layers on the bottom. My layers were too thin, and Curtis managed to dig through the bottom layer.

Are you still happy with how the Flex Seal is holding up? I'm at the sealing stage on my enclosure build, and I was considering using this.

Yup. I'll use it again next time. It works great!
Awesome! Did you use the spray or liquid? I noticed the spray carries a Ca. Prop 65 warning. My guess is that's for the propellant, and once dry it's as safe as the liquid.
