Need plastron shots to be able to tell if they are eastern or the Dalmatian variant of the eastern but I am leaning toward just eastern. They're of course not western.

Sorry Mark! It's an eastern, all the way though. The only one of these two that was looking to possibly be Dalmatian is the animal at the bottom in the second pic.

Post some pics of her plastron.
Dalmatians are typically smaller but not always. Both tortoises aren't done growing either, they're young.

Well... Darn it!! So what's the difference?
This one has the femoral seam and humeral seam the same length
No inguinal scute that I can see.
The pattern more pronounced and solid almost exactly like the picture of the Dalmatian on your recognition page.

So what are you seeing that I do not know about? I want to learn!

Femoral suture and pectoral are even yes, but this is found in all subspecies at times just very rarely in westerns. The inguinals are there actually, look very closely. The pattern is spot on for young easterns but the female in the bottom of the second pic sports the carapace more associated with the Dalmatian. Plastron will tell us the truth.

I just left my house but they were mating already although they’re small so I was confused since easterns are usually bigger when they mate

All Hermann’s tortoises can show interest in breeding at as little as 4.5”.
