Aldabra or Galapagos.. Anyone?

Forgive my ignorance and thank you for setting me straight. We've only ever owned adult Sulcatas, never the babies. We rescued our two adults about 2 years ago and rescued another one, about 20 pounds, last year. I guess all turtles look like Sulcatas to me. Thank you again for the education. That's why we are here.

The tortoise on the left in this photo is the one I saw and it looked a lot like our Sulcatas from the front. My mistake.

Don't worry about it, Matthew. It took me a very long time and seeing many, many pictures, before I was able to even come close to I.D.ing the different tortoises. Glad you've finally started posting. Hope we hear more from you in the future. How about you start a thread in the Sulcata section and show us your tortoises?

Maybe this will help. My 13 month Aldabra just arrived. He is just over 2.5 lbs. he has a high rather round domed shell.. stark black. Couldn’t be happier with the new addition.
