It’s simple, the breeder tells you what you want to hear to make a buck, we have hothing to lose by telling you the truth. A quick search on this forum will show you a million posts and reasons why a pair is not a good idea.

How old are they? You must find a way to build two enclosures one way or another, could it not be in your room? I know it’s not convenient at all to have two enclosures when you tought you would only need one but that’s the situation your in rn and the faster you act the better for your torts. If you’re not ready to provide an enclosure for each id’recommend maybe selling one for adoption which isn’t bad at all if it’s best for the animal. The other way would be to get a couple more tort but that’s probably not what you are looking for since you already don’t have the room for two.

While you do what? While you decide what you’re gonna do? Aggresion is something that affect torts long term if it’s very temporary and not too bad you could let them be for the shortest time as possible. If your enclosure is big enough and you could separate it while still getting all the right temps on both side it would be better. In my opinion, a too small enclosure is already better than aggresion...

Biting is the most obvious form of bullying.
There are more, subtle and less noticeable things going on with them.
None of it is good.
Re homing one is a responsible decision if you don't have the room. No need to feel badly about it. You didn't know.
Too bad there are so many sellers out there that want your money more than they care about the animals wellness.

It’s not a fun situation to be in but we must only get the animals we can care for. I know you’ll make the good decision. At least now you know you must do a lot of research before getting an animal, don’t hesitate to ask all the question you want we are here because we need help or because we want to help!

ok thanks guys
If you have a wood tortoise table you could put a temporary separation board to cut the enclosure in half. I've seen metal parts at Lowe's that will work for that type of problem without messing up your wood. I think I saw the parts in building or roofing. They were t shape with a sleeve on all sides that would hold a board in place without screws as a temporary solution. I tried some out on some wood I was buying just to see how the parts could work with my wood. I was curious for just in case. Best wishes.
