Hello everyone! i have heard so many different answers about the 5.0 and 10.0 and i just wanna know which one to use. i've heard people say 5.0 doesn't pout out enough UVB for any reptile that needs to bask, and some people say 10.0 is way to strong. it will be like 8-10 inches away from the substrate.

5.0 put out almost no UV. A regular 10.0 (not HO type 10.0), barely puts out any either. If you want your turtle to actually get indoor UV, then you'll need an HO type and you'll need to mount it farther away.

Also, don't use the cfl types. They can sometimes burn reptile eyes. Only use the long tube types.

Do you think i should just get a MVB i have heard they put out a lot of UVB, i don't know if it would be to much though, so many people say 5.0 is perfect for box turtles and 10.0 is to strong and they never even touch on 10.0 HO, and some people even say no UVB and i'm just sitting here all confused lol there is so much miss information.
