I was running the mower through the leopard yard the other day and carefully mowed around this wildflower. It's so pretty, and so delicate-looking, but I've never seen any like it on my property before.

I ain't no expert, but that looks a lot like snapdragon.

Gosh, I’m going with penstemon; this would be a good time of year for them with the rain.

There are so many, I couldn’t say which variety; they are all so pretty. Could be wild or someone’s cultivated seed blew into your yard.

I can’t find much about them, other than if you look back far enough, it’s in the plantain family. I’d let a tortoise have at it, if I didn’t put it in a vase inside my house!
