So I recently bought a Redfoot and long story short. The one I've had for a month has been healthy so far. If I get a tortoise from the same source should quarantine be a concern?

It's always a good idea to quarantine for a bit to make sure he's healthy, eating and acting like a normal tortoise. I'd say at least a month.

I understand that in any case, we should not keep these tortoises in pairs due to the fact that one will always dominate and stress out the other and maybe even injure him, depending on their size and other things. After you are sure that they are both healthy, I guess you could let them have a stroll outdoors sometimes together while supervised.

I agree on quarantine. Keep entirely separately for at least 6 months.

While redfoots aren’t as territorial as some species, you could well have problems trying to keep them as a pair.
