Today I saw a little hatchling with a foot defect. Wanted to share for interest sake... (s)he walks fine, eats, is active and curious. It’s not mine but wanted to share, it was only the right back foot and everything else seemed pretty normal :)

Poor baby! Does it use that foot? If not, dragging it could cause problems. Hopefully it will do fine!

You could call it a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!!!......no.........ok:D

That’s a unique tort nonetheless, I think it’s a good sign that it acts normally despite the deformed foot!

Lyn I never knew that!!! I’m glad he’s doing well
Yes he's fine, thanks.
The vet said it could have been caused by rats ,but it was an old injury and already healed by then.
Last year I noticed changes on the stump and thought it may be growing claws, but nothing has developed since.
He had a small cut on it a couple of years ago so I cut the fingers off gloves and made him some little socks to wear when he went outside to protect it.
