She’s a rescue from a family who took it in from another family— all did not know what type of tortoise they had so needed to re-home. And I also discovered she was a girl. I’ve had her for 1 year now, she’s around 6 and weighs 24 pounds.

We have 2 year old Tibby. We’ve had her almost a year. She is almost 8 pounds. She was one pound when we got her. She just recently stopped hiding and panicking if I stepped into her enclosure. She even walked up to me and nibbled on my shoe the other day and enjoyed her water bowl while I was filling it up. Hoping she’s a girl but if not, she will become Mr. Tibbs.
Her tail is leaning towards Mr.Tibbs.

Sweetheart is 14 years old. We’ve had him for 9 years. He is about 35 pounds. I think he will always be smaller than he should be but he’s put on over ten pounds in the last year. He was raised dry and with two other male tortoises his first five years. He is such a sweet tortoise.

This is my little nugget Leo. I’m obviously not sure of the gender but I’m going to assume it’s a boy in the meantime. I’m a first time tortoise owner but I have done my research (mostly by using this forum) and put in the time and money to make sure he has a suitable set up and so far so good! I got him in December he was supposedly born in July so he is about 9 months now. This guy loves to eat and explore the lawn searching for flowers when the weather is warm.

Leo the first day I brought him home

I'm going to move the cold weather posts to their own thread so that this thread can be strictly for pictures of folks' love of their sulcata with pictures.
