Hi everyone! So a couple of months back I posted about rescuing two baby sulcata tortoises from a cousin who, aside from buying them from a terrible source, failed to take care of them correctly himself. At almost 6 months old Charlie weighed 45 grams and Butters 55 grams with visible pyramiding. I learned I shouldn't keep them in pairs and my sister took over the care of Butters but got tired after a week :/ so I brought butters back and got them each set up with their own 50 gallon tubs.

With the help of everyone here, and especially from @Tom, my babies are thriving! They are just past 7 months old. Butters is 132 grams now and Charlie is 126 grams. I am just very excited and wanted to share my excitement and appreciation for everyone's help. I'm just sad these guys didn't have a better start and that I couldn't be there to prevent the pyramiding but I'm doing everything I can to keep them happy and healthy. Very happy they’re doing well! It looks like the new growth is coming in smooth, too :)

What pyramiding? They look great.

Those tortoises are so lucky they found their way into your hands. Its always nice to see another success story. Thanks for this post. :)

I have to agree they look fantastic. It's always amazing how well they do with propper care.
