So I was just wondering what everyone thinks is the best book on redfoot tortoise care? Like if you had to choose only one book. I noticed there are some older posts on redfoot tortoise books, and was curious to see what everyone's opinion was. Please, and thank you!

If you don't mind spending the money, "South American Tortoises" by Vinke, Vinke, Vetter, and Vetter, is very good with a ton of natural history. It includes Redfoots, Yellowfoots, and Chaco tortoises. Lots of great photos and over 300 pages, too. Here's a link to amazon:

The Ebenhack one is very good, too(Turtles of the World #3). I think the Pingleton one Yvonne mentioned focuses the most on care in captivity and has some good info and ideas. The Vinke/Vetter one that Relic mentioned is very good, but it is written at a more scientific level and focuses more on biology and natural history.

Vinke and Vetters is the absolute best overall, but not very focused on actual cares. Mike's is fantastic for actual cares. The Tortoise Library was originally an attempt to make a 'book' that could be kept updated. Sadly, I have not been able to update it for some time for a weird variety of reasons.
