I am looking to get my sister a chameleon for her birthday, but I need it to be under $50. If someone knows a place, let me know!
(P.S.- I am paying, so I need someone who can take cash not from PayPal or a card)

Any kind that’s cheap!
Chameleons have very different care requirements depending on the species u get...
Some species may be cheaper than others but if u buy everything u need to care for them even a cheap chameleon will cost u 500 bucks
Chameleons are very hard reptiles to keep and shouldn't be a cheap present
After all I'm just concerned that the chameleon u get won't get the care it needs and die in a few months
Obviously I don't know enough cause ur just asking for a cheap chameleon so if u have much experience and ur sister also forget what I said
But if u just want a chameleon cause it's a cool animal and ur sister hasn't any experience with it then it's just stupid to get one for here

The cheapest chameleons in my area a Jemen chameleons for 40 bucks

Nothing about keeping chameleons is cheap. The initial purchase price of the animal is insignificant when compared to the cost of housing and daily care over time. Who will pay for the caging, heating and lighting? Who will pay for all the different food insects that will be needed daily? Who will pay for vet care if it is needed? Have you got a mist king, or is someone home all day to do this manually?

Depending on the answers to these questions, you might need to re-think this idea.

My sister really wants one and can care for it, but she doesn’t want me to spend so much money for it. She knows that it will cost a lot of money to maintain

What about rescues? Check petfinder or a site that lists animal adoptions or shelter animals. petfinder can search by the type of animal, I used to look there for a certain dog breed.

I hope you don't feel like we are coming dowm hard on you. I think everyone here just wants you & your sister to be prepared. I looked into them a long time ago (still want one but current situation prevents that) even with a full time job, I thought it would stretch me to far. Of course I wanted a panther chameleon one of the most exspensive ones. Good luck on your search.
