Update and new outdoor habitat!

Hey guys I haven’t posted in a long time but I’m sure you’ll be happy to hear that Ruby is doing great! For the past four days I’ve been working on a little spot in my back yard for her that she can hang out in for the summer days. (Not at night obviously). Anyway let me know if you have any ideas on what I should add to it or any changes I should make.

Very cool!

I’d build some kind of hide box / shelter, just so that Ruby has deep shade to escape the heat.

Give your sulcata a big high humidity hiding place so he won’t develop digging habit.

Update! At first I put in 6 blocks of coconut substrate and in a week that turned out to look like I didn’t ever put any in at all so today I added another 23 blocks! I also put a strip of sod in and it’s already taken to the ground but I’m thinking about adding another strip. Idk what do you guys think? Also if you can see the black cord on the house. I got misters for him! So when it gets really hot I can turn them on and it cools down the whole area. I’m still not sure what to do about a hide for him. I can’t find anything on line that is big enough for him and I’m worried about making one myself out of rocks cus I’m afraid of the cave collapsing in on him. Any ideas?

I don’t have much experience at all, but I plan on making my own hide out of a light colored tote. Turn it upside-down, and cut a large hole in the side so he can go in!
