I used an exterior grade plywood with a sanded finish and covered it in Flex-seal. It’s non-toxic and creates a plastic coating that will be easy to clean and wash off. I rolled the coats on to get a smoother application. No need for liner. I just put Timothy hay on top. It’s a little more expensive but doesn’t need to be replaced and won’t be torn through.

I use corrugated plastic cut to size for the floor. It's durable and waterproof. You can attach it to the wood using construction adhesive. I then put a bead of caulking around the edge. For the walls' I just use waterproof paint.

Hi everyone, I am in the process of creating a new enclosure for my Russian tortoise. We are nearing the end and I am wondering what everyone uses to line their enclosure? I was thinking maybe 6 mil plastic or a shower pan. I am looking for something that is easily cleanable or disposable. Any suggestions would be great. I’ve attached two photos of what the new enclosure will look like. View attachment 231347View attachment 231348
You probably resolved this issue long ago, but if not, you might try using the 12" square peel and stick vinyl tiles that are made for kitchen and bath flooring. You can usually buy a box of 25 or so for $10 or less. They are easy to cut, lay and clean...and very durable as well.I used a wood pattern in mine and it works great.

Anyone thought of using a spray on bedliner kit (like for trucks)? I figure that would hold up to anything. Walmart sells it.

Maybe that too. I just wonder how many cans it would take for like a standard 8x4 enclosure. Not sure what the coverage is.

They sell it by the gallon as well... Probably cover most of the floor with a thin layer
