Wow! I need to get a new scale. Once I do, I'll compare mine for size.

Thanks! They still have a ways to go. But, it is fun watching the progress. Also, I am gonna need to find a good looking male or two for these girls. Hard to make tiny tortoises without having both sexes.
Are you sure they are girls now? Can you tell? I think mine were around 2 years old when I could finally tell.
I've got surplus adult males for sale right now. All of mine were temp sexed for female too. I got 8.6. I feel pretty good though. Gus got 15.0 from his temp sexed for female group.

These were all hand raised as hatchlings by me. Blue one is from NY, pink one is from FL, and the two silver ones are from the Behler Center here in CA. All were soaked daily and raised in a warm humid closed chamber with daily sunning sessions. They've been fed a large variety of weeds, leaves...

Here's our male enjoying some sunshine today.
Had some surprise clutches this summer and one clutch of 8 laid June 3 just hatched today. 31 days in diapause at 67° 12 hrs/ 72° 12hrs. Then in the incubator at 88.5° 12 hrs/ 90.5° 12hrs. Incubation portion was only76 days to pip. Should give females. All 8 in the clutch hatched. Here they are after their first bath and in their brooder box. Big zucchini leaves to hide in and eat as well as a mix of grape leaves, hibiscus flowers, lavatera flowers, some plantain, and a few other weeds, plus some of their eggshells. Won't be any picky eaters in this group.
Got to soak up the sun while you can.
