Im a Greek tortoise guy myself, I don’t know how much you would pay for a baby red foot or Sulcata.

I saw this tort breeder on Instagram who was selling baby red foots and sulcatas for $49.99 each. Isn’t that a bit cheap? The sulcatas were also listed as “spur thigh tortoises” which could cause confusion to some people.

Redfoots usually go for about $100. Cherry heads are more, they can go as high as $300

Since the initial price is only a tiny fraction of what you'll spend for gear and food and vets and such over the life of the tortoise, it makes no sense to save money by buying a cheap tortoise... go with the breeder with the best reputation and get a healthy one.

Very cheap.
I smell a rat.
$45 is the general wholesale price for a baby Redfoot here. Retail is $80 to $110.
Buy from a reputable breeder and you'll be happy in the long run.
You might get ripped off or sold an animal that has not been started correctly and may not survive.

I’m not looking for another baby tort, I was just scrolling along my Instagram and saw this ad. The babies are definitely going to pyramid as they get older, they have really deep grooves around the scutes. Most likely live in a dry environment
