Try wetting it down a bit and mixing it with some other food your tortoise does like to get the tortoise used to the Mazuri.

The LS is the type that none of mine would eat.
In fact, I threw the bag away and bought the 5M21 type that they can't resist.

However. This doesn't mean that your tortoise won't eat it. Some do.
Moisten it with water. (The LS takes much longer to soften) and mix it in with some of your regular food.
If all else fails, try to good old original formula.
The LS has been hit and miss by my own experience and the posts that I've read.

There have been many keepers that have reported that the LS would not be eaten by their tortoises.
So you're not alone

I got mine to eat the new LS type by mixing small amounts into the "regular" type of mazuri.

It's funny, I've always been decidedly anti mazuri diet. I've always grown most of what my tortoises eat, with supermarket greens taking up the slack. But I guess I haven't kept a grassland grazing species for the past decade, given that the rads in my group just decimate the vegetation. Marginateds and Greeks tend to be opportunistic grazers, take a little here, take a little there. But these damned rads, they're like goats. Everything gets eaten down to the nub with these kids, and their appetites just keep growing. So, I'm starting to wonder, maybe I should get some of this mazuri to add a bit of bulk into their diet. Definitely going to have to experiment with that.

But yes, the mixing of the types of mazuri seems like a good idea. Tortoises tend to be rather obstinate if they don't like something, but a good mix has always been the best remedy to that. I've found that many times, mine go through fits and cycles when it comes to items they like/don't like. Joey, one of my male marginateds, at the moment, can't stand chickory. Turns his nose up to it every day I have it on offer. But this spring, he couldn't get enough. Right now, he's all about cactus.

I've read many complaining of their tortoises not liking this LS type mazuri. I wonder what it is about it that they don't like. I wonder if there's a way Mazur feed corp can change that, maintain the principle ingredients while changing the flavor, texture, smell, whatever it is that tortoises seem to find so unappealing.

I’ve got three Greeks and a Greek/Tunisian “Hybrid”. All but one of my yearling Greeks will take the pellet as they come, the other wants it crumbled into bits. Annoying for me but at least she eats it.

It may come down partially to consistency. I almost always serve Mazuri softened. The L.S. gets wet and STAYS rigid. It's also less fluffy? Less like its puffed with air and just a solid wood like thing.
It also smells different. So it's pretty clear that the taste is different. But I have no first hand proof of that. (Yet)
As for the Mazuri itself.
It's certainly not required that a tortoise be fed it.
But it can be SOOO handy as a filler food. For mixing foods together. For rhe administration of medication or supplements, etc.
What is undeniable are the excellent results. It has been around now for a long time.
It does seem to be one of those odd times where what it is seems to be better than the sum of it's parts.
It has great results.
Mazuri is a real blessing for tortoise keepers.
At least the 5M21 type.

My little guy LOVES the pellets. I soak them in water so they puff up. I give him more or less according to how much of his leafy greens I want him to eat. Id still keep those part of the diet whenever possible.
