I've been thinking about a larger enclosure for my Redfoot for a while, and when a Vision Cages model 632 showed up on my local fb marketplace for $300 (from list at $859), I was guardedly optimistic.

I went over today to check it out and it seemed in great shape... the previous owner threw in an RHP, two thermostats, a few lights, and a large tortoise hide.

I drove home with it and will clean and set it up tomorrow.

I love those and 300 is a good deal. I find they work great for snakes and lizards. Let us know how it works out for you I have ever put a tort in one.

I decided to keep the Redfoot in the 4X2 enclosure for the moment and use the Vision-632 for the MEP that came to live with me instead... this should see her through a couple of years, by which time my plan is to have retrofitted the garage for tort-usage during the winter months.

It's a 4x2 critter condo. I taped most of the vents to help hold heat and humidity. There's a hide on each side of the enclosure, and Darwin splits his time began them. I have a small computer-fan on the hot side to move air around. There's an 8" underpot as a combination pool and waterbowl. I've planted the middle of the enclosure with pothos, but some of the greenery you see in this pic are maple leaves I put in all three enclosures for browse and enrichment.

Have you been planning the upgraded enclosure for Darwin?

Not much as yet... I'll start looking for a bigger one, or think about building one.

Better off building one. Look into PVC if you don't want to use plywood.
