Hello there my name is Shorty and I am new here so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I have been a Tortise and Turtle lover my whole life!! I recently was gifted a Russian Tortise that a friend of mine rescued but was unable to keep and care for. We named him Speedy but call him Petie. I am excited to learn more information on how to keep him healthy and happy

Hi Shorty and Petie! Welcome to the forum! One great way to get lots of info about your tortoise is to click on "Tortoise Species" at the top of this page, and then find the section on Russian Tortoises. You will find all sorts of care info including feeding, water, housing, lighting, heating, etc.....everything you will need to know to keep your new baby happy and well! Have fun getting to know your new shell baby!
