Hi everyone
First time tortoise owner here!
I got my horsefield on Monday, we named him/her tank! the shop said he/she is 4 months old. I've done a lot of research but Confused about a couple of things.
Some say keep the substrate dry, others say I should spray/water it daily.
Shop said to bath him once a week, some say 3 times a week other say never if he has a humid hide and a dish to bath in? Any pointers would be great

Hi there! Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your new shell baby! Just click on "Tortoise Species" at the top of this page to see tons of helpful info about your tortoise. You will find recommendations for feeding, heating, lighting, substrate, humidity, etc for each individual species. We love to see pics here, so be sure and show off your new tortie and his enclosure! Best of luck to you both!

Welcome! Pics of your new addition would be great. Like MPappagallo said. Go to species in the drop down find your species. Read the care sheets and ask questions.
I am a sulcata owner so I cant help you.
Hopefully someone who knows your species will chime in.

Hello! Just do what works for you! In your case the more water the better! By no means drown your tortoise but they do a lot better when they have more water.
