Is anyone's tortoise afraid of thunder? Opo loves the rain but when the thunder starts. He runs right into his hide.

Ok Opo sounds normal. I want to make a concrete soak pool for him. He never soaked in his water tray when smaller and lately dosen't stay in his pool very long. I have tried different temps of the water but no change. I hate to put in all the labor and he doesn't use it. He even avoids mud puddles. The only reason he flipped dirt on himself is because I soaked his cool hide with water.
Any ideas of a temporary soak pool that he can get in and out of by himself? Now Rose has to lift him in the kiddy pool but he manages to get out himself.

I got up late today and Opo destroyed the porch. Time to get a night box outside before he starts tipping over the patio furniture. View attachment 299148
Looks alot like what my Sammy did, decided he wanted to make room for himself on the microwaves 20200626_162802.jpgbottom shelf.
