yesterday i took sissy outside for the first time....I used the old kiddy pool we had gotten for the dogs years ago which they never used. sissy defently loved being outiside. iv never seen her so active! i put the pool just outside the shade tree so she would get plently of sun and i could be in a little shade. she delighted in eating the grass weeds and dandalions i put in there for her ( which is of course the same grass weeds and dandlions i pick every day and put in her food dish which she ignores lol) she wandered all around the pool and even drank some water from her food dish....spiked help me get everything ready for her and of course he put water in the food dish and brought it outside. lol heres some pictures when i took her back inside she of course went right back into her hidy...hum maybe she dosnt like her inside house which wil be sad because were not going to bulid her a new one i do spoil y animal children to a point and i dont know how we could make it more appealing to her anyway.... oh well lol sissyb.JPGsissy one.JPGsissyb.JPGsissy one.JPGsissy2.JPGsissy3.JPG

You need to set her up a permanent outdoor enclosure and bring her back in only at night or make a lock box hide for night.
You can lay fencing, hardware cloth, puppy play pen on the ground and then build the sides on top. This way she can't dig out. Put a lip of the boards around the top and she can't climb out.

thats a great idea, as a matter of fact I have a round doggy playpen here....and we do have some cinder bolcks as well.... now lets see I i wore to laythe cinder blocks around the inside of the playpen so she couldnt dig out and then wrap screening around that....then some more wire on top.... and maybe I could incorperat the old kiddy pool...with some kind of screeing around the side of that .... humm i'll have to think about .....but sissys exstursion outside seems to have woken her up som....at some point today she came out of her hidy and was lying next to the side windo and then earler this evening she walked around to her food dish and started eating....im just going to leave her hidy where it was when we put her back yesterday...sort of in the middle of her house...and she has obvisouly been rumiaging around in her house because not onlycan i hear her moving about theres all kinds of like hills and valleys of bedding.... guess wejust didnt have her hidy where she wanted it.... ... tomorrow i'll give her a nice soak.... but for the next couple of days im going to let poor spike rest a bit. Hes bulit a footstool made a wooden wheel for the lawnmower...and cut the lawn, redid the belt on the other lawnmower and to day he fixed my scrollsaws so i now have 2 working saws ....and thats not counting his lying the bricks in the low part of the lawn and putting gravel over it all so when it settles we can think about what we want to put there ( like another shed ). and hes been hauling me to drs appoments the last few weeks ....just one dr to see and i should be done for another 6 months to a year depending on what the xrays show....thats a lot of activey for a 75 year old man ! so im going to let him rest for a few days and not ask him to help me with something again.....and hopefuly hw wont have more stuff he fells like doing hope everyone has a wounderfl dy!

Next few days are going to be cooler if your weather is going to match mine here in Chicago. We get similar temps
One or two days I think won't even be nice enough to go out, so good time to take that break.
